$500 1997 BMW 318is Update

Yesterday I replaced the oil filter housing gasket and bush, and also the cylinder head cover gasket. So far no oil leaks.

I also picked up a (very expensive) sunroof mechanism ("cassette") which I tried to install yesterday and broke. After many hours combining the parts from mine and the new one I think I have a working sunroof. However before I let it run under its own power I want to ensure that the motor is back in the right position. Any advice for doing this?

I also fitted some orange indicators.

The interior is now a bit of a mess, with no headlining or pillar trim, but I'll get there
