$500 1997 BMW 318is Update

The car has been with the auto transmission specialists since last Tuesday and two days ago they told me the new (used) transmission needs replacing. I organised a replacement under warranty from the wrecker I bought it off, and it arrived yesterday and will be fitted tomorrow. Hopefully this one will be good.

Thumbs up to A Twins spares at Girraween for being great over the warranty replacement. They promptly supplied and delivered (free) the replacement transmission without any hassle at all. This is even better when you take into consideration that their price for the transmission was half the price of Parramatta Prestige's. Of course, thumbs down for supplying me a bad transmission in the first place, although it is completely understandable that they wouldn't know that it was faulty, and for the oil, filter and gasket kit, and converter seal that were wasted, and the fact I have to pay the labour to have the transmission removed and replaced.
